I thought I drove fast, but I can’t even make myself look at the speedometer as he weaves through the pitch-black woods to God only knows where. I glance sideways at Gabe, whose eyes flit between the narrow dirt road in front of us and the rearview mirror. I don’t have time for one of my stupid visions right now.
